The Comisión del Carnaval said the 2027 season would begin on 9 January 2027 at the city's corsódromo. A national newspaper describes the Corsódromo José Luis Gestro as holding more than 25,000 spectators per night.
The parades are staged by five comparsas, Marí Marí, Papelitos, O'Bahía, Kamarr and Ará Yeví, each backed by a local club.
